How It Works

Just about everyone is aware of the spawning fad of the Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other assorted Trading Card Games (TCG). You buy packs of cards from stores, and then trade and "battle" with other collectors. Well, SCMR is just like that, only it's an online version for the manga/anime hit, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon! In a way it's a game, for the object is to not only have fun, but also see how well your collection can grow!

There are only a few steps in playing this game.

When you first join, I will give you 15 cards that look similar to this...

You can place your collection anywhere on your site. You are required to place a badge of your ranking somewhere with them, and link it back to SCMR. The rankings (levels) are further below.

Each card is labeled by the character/theme, (top left) and then sub-labeled by the deck title and its number. (Bottom)

Cards are organized a bit differently here. Things are organized by decks and sets. Each deck contains 10 sets, and each set contains 20 cards, for a total of 200 cards in a deck! When you a see a color title like Blue, or Red, then that is referring to the title of the deck. Sets are labeled by their number (ex. Pink Set 1). Each deck is themed by either character (ex. Usagi/Sailor Moon), group (ex. Family/Friends), or a running theme (ex. items/toys).

Trading

In order to receive more cards after this, you must trade with another member of the group. The following are the rules of trading.

1) Only trade with another member of SCMR. If they are not on the members list, then do NOT trade with them! If you do, then you're going to have to deal with the staff. D;

2) Remember, you actually TRADE in this game. If someone offers you their card for your card, and you accept, then you must take down your card! This is just like real life. Once you give a card away, you cannot get it back unless it's through another trade, or by a request. (See below.)

3) Once you have made a successful trade, you should record it somehow. A trade log on your card page is graciously accepted. We also have a section for trade logs on the forums. In short, a trade log somewhere is required.

Levels

LEVEL CARD COUNT MASTERIES
Moon 15-50 ~
Mercury 51-100 ~
Mars 101-200 2 sets
Jupiter 201-300 3 sets
Venus 301-400 5 sets
Chibimoon 401-500 1 deck
Pluto 501-600 12 sets (1 deck)*
Uranus 601-700 15 sets (1 deck)*
Neptune 701-800 18 sets (1 deck)*
Saturn 801-900 20 sets (1 deck)*
Earth 901-1000 25 sets (1 deck)*
Cosmos 1001+ 2 decks

NOTE: Mastered Member Sets DO NOT count towards "sets mastered"
* For levels above Chibimoon, the (1 deck) note is included because your mastered deck is included in your 12 (15, 18, etc.) sets.

For memebrs who reach Cosmos, you still get rewards! For every 200 cards and 3 set masteries you achieve, you'll receive a Luna-P token marker for your page.

Similar to a regular level-up, you will receive 2 choice normal cards for every Luna-P you earn.

Mastery

As soon as you have collected an entire set (ie. all of Pink Set 1), you are then considered a "master" of that set. As a reward you receive 2 choice cards, three random cards, a random month card, a blue crystal, and a random coupon. However, collect all ten sets of a deck and you will become a master of that deck! You are the ultimate fan!

Below is a full list of mastery rewards for the various things masterable.

Special & Month Cards

Special cards are given out on special occasions, or available for purchase at the Department Store. "Normal" Special cards are worth 2 cards each; "Temporary" Special cards are worth 3 AND are only distributed for limited time periods. (See the Special card pages for those times!) You can trade Temporary Specials year-round.

Month cards are a unique feature. There are five sets in each of these decks, with the exception of Moon, who has 12 sets. The month associated with the decks means that these cards are only released in that month throughout the whole year. You may not acquire these cards by ANY means -- except for trading with other members -- during any other time, and that includes buying them. Moon's cards follow a similar theme; each of her 12 sets are matched up to their own month. EX: In January, all of Saturn's Attack/Henshin cards are given for joining, contests, birthdays, the Department Store, etc., as well as Moon Prism Power. That means Month sets are a little more difficult to collect!

If you master a Special or Month set, you will receive a reward (just like a normal set). You can trade Special or Month cards for normal cards, so not just other Specials or Month cards!

Member Cards

Member cards are a special card used to represent each member! They can also be exchanged while drastically increasing card count. :O If you send in your favorite Sailor Moon image (from ANY version), we will make you a member card; it will have your member name on it! You can place it up on your site, and trade other members for their own cards. But unlike regular trading, you don't have to take yours down! Your collection just grows! ^_^

Invidiual member cards are worth 1, and they ARE masterable. Every time you collect any 20 member cards (in any numerical order), that counts as one mastery. To get your card, please visit the member cards page, and fill out the form located at the bottom of the page!

Coupons

Coupons represent their depicted deck, and you can earn from playing games, contests, masteries, and so on. You may turn in a coupon for either 1 choice card from the deck or 2 random cards from that deck. (Note: Coupons are not tradeable!)

There is also a Special coupon, which represents the "normal" Special sets. It is twice as rare as the other coupons! Like the others, though, it can be exchanged for 2 random Special cards or 1 choice Special card.

To exchange your coupons, visit the Crystal Tokyo Department Store! (See the navigation bar for the link.)

Crystals

Crystals are the currency used at the Crystal Tokyo Department Store, and are also earned via games and contests. The worth increments are 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50, in the respective order shown below.
worth 1 worth 5 worth 10 worth 20 worth 50
